Rachel’s House based in Rangiora, North Canterbury, South Island, New Zealand is a Non Profit and Non Government Service that is committed to the support of young parents, helping them to birth and parent their babies.

Why
In North Canterbury, many young women are facing unplanned pregnancies. They have significant, life impacting, decisions to make, often with scant information and little support in which to make them.

Mission
We aim to be a visible, approachable ministry that is equipped to provide practical help, advice  and other material needs. Rachel’s House offers shelter and a safe, empowering environment where these young vulnerable women can plan for their future with their babies.

Ministry
Rachel’s House is a ministry to pregnant teens offering accommodation, access to midwifery, social work, counseling, peer support, scholarships, education/vocational training, practical help and long term aftercare.

Commitment
We are committed to providing a wrap around service for the mums-to-be, (incorporating fathers wherever possible) equipping them to be able to meet the needs of their babies.
