Michelle is a busy mum to one teenager and three younger children while undertaking fulltime study. While Michelle`s background is in School Dental Nursing, hospital aiding and caregiving, she has been in a number of interesting voluntary roles supporting women in challenging situations such as Christchurch Women`s Prison. Her passion to support teens in their transition to motherhood was ignited when her own mother housed a young pregnant woman who was without support, when Michelle was a teenager herself. This experience opened Michelle`s eyes to the need for non judgmental support and respect for teen parents; support without an agenda, support that simply says “I believe in you, you can do it, I`ll be here with you.” Arohanui.
